PictureRev. Dr. Nancy Grim Hunter, Chair, Children's Ministry Committee, Northern Illinois Conference of the United Methodist Church
The Children’s Table is a open forum of the Children's Ministry Committee of the Northern Illinois Conference of the United Methodist Church to share resources, ideas, and support to those interested and/or already engaged in children's ministry.

This forum is intended to support a collaborative, conference-wide endeavor aimed at making a positive difference in the lives of children living in the geographical boundaries of the Northern Illinois Conference. The purpose of this work is to encourage local congregations to cultivate a holistic approach to ministry with children and families that includes passionate Christian leadership development, connections to community resources, and engagement in relationship-building with vested community partners in order to promote justice for children in the church and the wider community.

The mission of the Children's Ministry Committee is to transform the meaning of the church as a body of Christ to include children and their families as active co-participants in God’s love through discipleship, evangelism, and mission community-building efforts that address the needs of the whole child within the context of the community-at-large.

We hope that you will join us for this journey of exploring how to ensure that all children are welcome to the Table, for children should be active co-participants in all aspects of church life and in ministry.

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." - Matthew 19:14

Blessings to you,

Pastor Nancy
